Social Media E-Commerce Specialist

Rugged Radios, The Authority in Communications, located on the Central Coast of California in the city of Arroyo Grande, is looking for a full-time Social Media E-Commerce Specialist to join our marketing and sales teams.

The individual we hire will be proficient at promoting Rugged Radios across Facebook and Instagram social networks. Our tribe consists primarily of people interested in two-way radio communication products for off-road recreational vehicles (UTV, ATV, JEEP) off-road racing, motocross, circle track racing, industrial, fire & safety and aviation.

This position requires the ability to consistently communicate strong messaging to target audiences with the intent of moving individuals to action. Working from home is not an option for this position. We feel there is a distinct advantage for our business to have our social media specialist working in the office, available for in-person meetings and face-to-face collaboration.

You will also be a brand ambassador with our away team, traveling to numerous off-road events throughout the year. Your role at events will be to engage with off road racers, sponsors, and manufacturers in person and via social media channels, as well as assisting with direct to consumer on-site sales.

Responsibilities

  • Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
  • Collaborate to ensure social media campaigns and postings are executed to the highest standards
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries and customer comments daily, in a timely manner
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
  • Creating and managing daily and monthly promotions and events
  • Remain current with social media trends and best practices

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Experience or knowledge of the off-road recreational vehicle industry and or any industry specific arena from which we operate with comparable knowledge and or skills as agreed upon during the hiring process between the applicant and employer
  • Degree or diploma in Marketing or relevant field or in process of completing a degree or diploma-which may be substituted for “Real world” social media experience
  • Experience with creative and unique content creation utilizing photography and videography
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Be thick-skinned, able to work through unforeseen issues
  • Willingness to learn, grow and take direction from management

Requirements / Benefits

  • Full-time hourly 40 hours week position with opportunity for overtime as needed or required

Sales Associate

Rugged Radios, The Authority in Communications, located on the Central Coast of California in the city of Arroyo Grande, is looking for a full-time Sales Account Associate to join our sales team. Working from home is not an option for this position. We feel there is a distinct advantage for our business to have our account managers working in the office, available for in-person meetings and face-to-face collaboration.

Our tribe consists primarily of people interested in two-way radio communication products for off-road recreational vehicles (UTV, ATV, JEEP) off-road racing, motocross, circle track racing, industrial, fire & safety and aviation.

As a member of the Rugged Radios sales team you will make outgoing customer engagement calls as well as answer inbound consumer calls.

Reporting to the sales manager, you will be on the front lines acting as an ambassador of the company to retail sales customers both on the phone and in person.

This position is a ground floor opportunity for the right candidate looking to be involved with the off road and business community

Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming telephone sales department calls
  • Making outbound customer engagement calls to existing customers gathering information and provide problem solving and solutions along the way
  • Be able to develop and cultivate strong brand loyalty with our customers
  • Creating and processing sales quotes and orders with retail consumers
  • Constantly in a mode of attaining product knowledge through self-discovery and training

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • High school diploma
  • At least one-year sales experience with wholesale accounts or related industry consumer/retail sales
  • Strong communicator who loves sharing, and listening
  • Experience or knowledge of the off-road recreational vehicle industry and or any industry specific arena from which we operate would be helpful
  • Comparable knowledge and skills as agreed upon during the hiring process between the applicant and employer
  • Extremely detail-orientated and organized and a passionate people person
  • Familiarity with software work platforms such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Work Suite and Google G Suite
  • Willingness to learn, grow and take direction from management

Requirements / Benefits

  • Full-time hourly pay with potential for weekly overtime
