Our U-bracket (included with your Rugged Radio) attaches directly to the mount using the included mounting hardware. Also fits most universal radio mounting brackets.

Mobile Radio Mount for Jeep JL, JT, and Gladiator Passenger Side Interior
I recently wanted to upgrade my 2000 Jeep Gladiator with a mobile ham radio instead of having a handheld. Rugged Radio's had the solution I needed to mount my new Yaesu FTM 300DR; Talk about ease in installing. It took me less than an hour to mount the radio, snake the coax and power, and connecting my antenna. Couple of things I can point out. The mount is solid! It is not flimsy and I have no doubts it will last a lifetime. Second, it was so easy to attach without drilling! Makes it nice and easy if I every sold my jeep with out damaging it. My final thoughts is a 5/5 score. I highly recommend it if your planning to install a CB unit, GMRS base unite, or a mobile ham radio unit. Thank you. See pictures I attached.
