Long Range Antenna for GMR2 PLUS
The antenna is nicely made but in testing it seems to have no range improvement over the standard antenna. Aside from having the fancy pants aluminum housing at its base instead of plastic, it appears very little different than the standard antenna. Maybe only half an inch longer, so electrically very similar which is probably why it doesnt work any differently. Nice antenna, but rated a 1 just because its not a "LONG RANGE" antenna as advertised. I have long range antennas on other handhelds and they DO work significantly better than the standard antennas. This one does not.
