This coil button is perfect for our offroad vehicle. It allowed us to securely mount it to the chassis while also providing enough elasticity for our full range of steering motion. There seems to be no issues with reliability so far.

I think having a non-coiled cable would be a big plus for those of us who don't place the PTT button on the steering wheel. I like placing the PTT button on my center console.
