As a trail guide at Jeep Jamboree Northwoods, I was on the radio a lot. The mic clipped to my shirt made quick communication a breeze while allowing me to quickly get back to hand signals while spotting over or around obstacles. Sound quality was great on my end and never heard anything negative from anyone saying they had a hard time understanding me. Would highly recommend.

Rugged GMR2 PLUS - GMRS and FRS Two Way Handheld Radio with Hand Mic
The radio is overpriced, lacking the ability to program the radio from the keypad is one reason. Another is the fact that the radio’s can’t be programmed to hit repeaters. Also, this radio looks exactly like 4-5 other Chinese radios. Obviously produced in the same factory.

Hello Steve, Our GMR2 Plus radios actually ARE repeater capable. You just have to input the tone code of the repeater you want to use. You must obtain the repeater code from mygmrs.com (you need your FCC license number to register) They provide the code and you use our user manual to input the tone code. Then you are done! If you have any questions or need assistance with this process, please call tech at 888-541-7223
